Keeping Your Eyes in Tip Top Shape


For a lot of people out there, leaving the house without makeup on is akin to walking out the door in last night’s pajamas. And we’re here to make sure for those of you who do wear eye makeup that you’ve got a few key points in mind to make sure you are not getting in the way of letting your eyes look and feel their best.

Here’s a breakdown on some eye makeup recommendations that will ensure you’re doing things the right way:

  1. Always remove your makeup before bedtime. ALWAYS.

  2. Micellar water, Zoria Cleanser and Ocusoft Dark Blue Scrubs are safe makeup removers.

  3. Choose hypoallergenic makeup products whenever possible. We’re big fans of Almay, Clinique and Physicians Formula.

  4. Avoid applying eyeliner on your ‘water line’ behind the eyelashes.

  5. Keep your makeup to yourself- no sharing with friends or even family.

  6. Eyeliner and mascara products should be replaced every 3 months.

  7. Avoid makeup products with added glitter as it can cause significant ocular irritation.
